Hand Sewing sewed my left index finger to the new chair cover today. I hope I can get the blood off it. The cover that is. I was trying to sew around a curve and I pushed harder than I should have and my finger went under the needle. I didn’t even know it could do that. It pierced the nail right at the top of the nail, next to the cuticle and went all the way thru my finger. I think I was in shock because I couldn’t figure out which way to turn the wheel to pull the needle out. I started screaming for Dois and I could hear him yelling that he was coming, but I could not stop screaming for him. I had a number 16 needle stuck all the way through my finger, leaving a stitch of white 92 weight thread in the middle of my index fingerprint. I truly don't know how this happened.
